Welcome to Orleans

Ottawa's east end suburb is home to over 100,000 people.  Originally located half in the city of Gloucester (on the west of Champlain St) and Cumberland (on the eats side) it's now all Ottawa post amalgamation.

The suburb is localy divided into "down the hill" communities north of St Joseph Blvd which feature mature neighbourhoods by river trails like Convent Glen North and South (divided by Highway 174), Hiawatha Park, Orleans Wood and Chatelaine Village by the Ottawa River , and "up the hill" communities like Chapell Hill, Chateau Neuf & Sunridge, Queenswood Heights, Fallingbrook which have more modern amenities and shopping along the Innes Rd box malls.  Orleans features newer communities in the growing areas of Chapel Hill South and Avalon/Nottingate/Springridge
